By accessing or using SocializeTogether ("the Platform," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Platform.
These Terms apply to all users, including chapter members, chapter leaders, organization administrators, and visitors. Additional terms may apply to specific features like PayTogether payment services.
To use SocializeTogether, you must:
If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating an account. You may not use false identities, impersonate others, or create accounts for anyone other than yourself without permission.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to:
Each person may only maintain one personal account. Creating multiple accounts to evade bans, manipulate features, or deceive other users is prohibited.
You agree to use SocializeTogether only for lawful purposes. You may not:
You are solely responsible for all content you post, upload, or share on SocializeTogether. This includes text, images, files, and any other materials. You represent that you have all necessary rights to share such content and that it does not violate these Terms or any applicable laws.
By posting content on SocializeTogether, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Platform. This license ends when you delete your content or account, except for content shared with others that they have not deleted.
We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to review, remove, or disable access to any content that violates these Terms or that we find objectionable. Chapter leaders and moderators may also moderate content within their chapters according to their community guidelines.
If you serve as a chapter leader, organization admin, or moderator, you have additional responsibilities:
We may remove or demote chapter leaders who abuse their position or fail to maintain safe community spaces.
Payment features are provided through third-party payment processors. By using payment features, you also agree to the payment processor's terms of service. We are not responsible for errors or issues caused by payment processors.
Transaction fees may apply to payments processed through the Platform. Refund policies for chapter dues, event fees, or donations are determined by each chapter. We facilitate refunds but are not responsible for disputes between members and chapters regarding refunds.
PayTogether is a convenience feature for splitting expenses among group members. Accuracy of receipt scanning and calculations is not guaranteed. Users are responsible for verifying amounts before confirming payments.
SocializeTogether and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Our name, logo, and branding may not be used without prior written permission.
You retain ownership of all content you create and post on the Platform. See our Privacy Policy for details about your content rights.

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your profile and content will be removed according to our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account, remove content, or restrict your access to the Platform at any time for any reason, including but not limited to:
SocializeTogether is committed to maintaining a safe and welcoming community. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account based on your conduct outside of our Platform if we determine, in our sole discretion, that such conduct:
This includes but is not limited to content you post on other social media platforms, statements made in public forums, conduct captured in publicly available photos or videos, news reports, court records, or other publicly available information. We are not obligated to investigate off-platform conduct, but we reserve the right to take action when such conduct comes to our attention.
Upon termination, your right to use the Platform immediately ceases. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
We are not responsible for the conduct of users, the content posted by users, or interactions between users whether online or offline. Use caution when meeting people from the Platform in person.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SOCIALIZETOGETHER AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.
In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount you paid to us, if any, in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or one hundred dollars ($100), whichever is less.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SocializeTogether and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, and suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:
Before filing a formal dispute, you agree to try to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at legal@socializetogether.com. We will try to resolve the dispute informally within 60 days.
If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you and SocializeTogether agree to resolve any disputes through binding arbitration rather than in court, except that either party may bring claims in small claims court if they qualify. This arbitration agreement is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act.
You agree that any disputes will be resolved on an individual basis and not as part of a class, consolidated, or representative action. If this waiver is found unenforceable, then the entirety of this arbitration agreement shall be null and void.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in court for intellectual property infringement or other urgent matters.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. For any disputes not subject to arbitration, you agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California.
We may modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Platform at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Platform and delete your account.
